Note – deliveries for chicks are only currently available to: Oamaru, Waimate, Timaru. If you live further afield, please get in touch to see if we can make something work to get them to you.

These chicks are for delivery on Saturday 21st June from our collection points in Oamaru, Waimate or Timaru.
We receive our brown shaver day-old chicks from a reputable hatchery here in the South Island. They are sexed before arrival (all female), and they’ve been vaccinated against Marek’s disease as well as had their first dose of a salmonella vaccine.
Chickens are flock animals – minimum purchase is three.
Until they grow feathers (approximately six weeks), chicks will require a reliable heat source such as a heat plate or lamp. Chick starter feed is also recommended for optimal growth and prevention against coccidiosis.
We are happy to advise you on options for a cosy, warm set-up and send you in the right direction for any other goods you may need to purchase before your chicks arrive – please get in touch with any queries you may have.
